Ugh

In the space of an hour today, I went from feeling perfectly fine to having a wicked sore throat and just feeling awful in general. I spent a good 4 hours wrapped up in a blanket on the couch watching tv. Took loads of nurofen, which unfortunately didn’t help at all. The stress of other stuff, plus this, plus exams isn’t going to be too much fun the next 3 weeks.

In other news, we finally had our skynet AGM. Tyrion is our new president when Daniel fecks off to Japan. All in all, not a bad evening, nice to see some people again. I am, thankfully enough, still treasurer.

Pippa is home in less than a week. That should make up for a lot. She’s been in Lancaster for over 6 months, I cannot wait to see her. Hopefully we’l have her home for good soon enough. :)

Back again

Back from Waterford for just over a week now. It was a pretty lonely month. My bed time most nights was 8 pm, purely because i had nothing to do and my housemate worked different hours to me. The thought of home and mountain biking at the end of each week kept me going. It was worth it for the work though, which is what I was there for. I got great experience with the Domino Midwives, on my last week alone I delivered 4 babies, went in on two sections and got to do a few other things which probably wouldn’t interest you. Much to my horror, I spent one or two nights alone in the house. One of which was hallowe’en night. Thanks to a few distracting phonecalls and sheer exhaustion I survived.

In between all this, I got a new kitten. Mom picked her up at the market because the owner said she’d have to get her put to sleep if they couldn’t find a home for her. So, we now have a two month old black and white kitten called lilian, named after my old cat.

Contemplating a J1 visa for the summer. I’ll have at least 2 friends living in California and I will have over 3 months off college this summer. Failing that, i’m hoping to go for 3 weeks to a month. I’ll have to think about it properly over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, i’m enjoying being back in college. Back to my friends, internet and I have plenty to keep me occupied.
